They’re also approved for direct contact with insulation, similar to standard recessed cans.

Insulation Contact Safe (IC Rated) — Our intertek 6 inch ultra thin downlight is IC rated for safe contact with insulation after installation.

Wet Rated Airtight Seal — Water or dust can't damage this 6" brushed nickel recessed light trim because of it's unique airtight weatherproof enclosure. Even humidity, debris, or unconditioned airflow can't leak in or out of your room’s interior.
